All, Hail -- Clerks II

This time, it's not all about Jay and Silent Bob.

Although writer/producer/editor/director Kevin Smith (a.k.a. "Silent Bob") promised us that J and SB have "left the building," they are making yet another appearance.

But this time, it's all about the pair who started it, Dante and Randal.

Kevin Smith, hands down, is my favorite indie-film producer. Clerks, in all of its black-n-white glory, was and is a masterpiece to behold.

Now, 12 years later, Smith has decided to create the sequel, Clerks II.

Is this the end of the New Jersey saga? Great as all those movies are, it's starting to get stretched a little thin. I just have this terrible gut feeling that Clerks II will not deliver the kind of performance that made the original so great. Hopefully they won't get too carried away with the "dick-and-fart jokes" -- kind of like Seann William Scott's performance as "Stifler" in American Wedding.

Clerks II = July 21st.
