Newman Runs IROC Race in Richmond -- 2nd!

The third out of four IROC (International Race of Champions) races were run at Richmond last night. Ryan started back of the pack (due to points standings) and made his way all the way up to 2nd, where he finished behind winner Matt Kenseth.

Newman now takes the points lead with 50 points, 4 points over Matt Kenseth. The next race will be in Atlanta on October 30.

My view: Damn! I didn't get to see the race last night due to work, but Ryan is in the hot seat for the championship. Since he is in 1st place in the points, he will start dead last -- 12th -- for the race in Atlanta.
