Play These Games!

Fortunately for me, I own a PlayStation3. When "Star Wars LEGO: The Complete Saga" came out on the PS2, I was tempted to by it because of the high reviews and the simplicity of the game itself. But I waited.

My brother Dan gave me the new "Indiana Jones LEGO: The Complete Adventures" for Christmas. I can rightfully say that Dan and I had a blast together playing it ... and it is so much better to play it with another person.

Later on, I picked up the "Star Wars" game for $20 at a Best Buy in the Twin Cities. Again, the controls and the game play are basically the same ... but it's a whole new world. These games are simply excellent. You won't believe how close they are to the movies themselves.

I'm roughtly 93% complete with "Indy," and I've already beaten all six episodes of "Star Wars," but only have about 40% of that game finished.

And now, they've come out with "Batman LEGO." Good God.

CPI Update: World-Famous

...well, not quite. Yet.

"The Owl Garden: A Retrospective" is finally making its way to the world, as I'm posting the different scenes of the documentary on YouTube.

I started on it last weekend, posting the entire first act. Now, I'm starting to work on the second act, then hopefully next weekend I can get the third and final one on-line.

Like I said before, I asked a few of the interviewees/players just to let them know/check and they've given me the thumbs-up.

So far, there haven't been many "views" via YouTube, but I'm not concerned. Just as long as it's out there so people have the opportunity to watch it.

When on YouTube, just search "The Owl Garden." You should find it!

CPI: A New Release

A new Crash Productions, Inc. production is upon us!

I actually had this video for quite a while. I filmed on September 24, 2008 on the family farm, just a couple miles north of the HomeTown. I finally got something put together after debating I should even do something with it, but I decided so.

Final editing took place on January 3, 2009. There's quite the story, or motivation behind this, but it's really not worth mentioning.

I do have another idea in the works for the next CPI project, which will again involve me in front of the camera. Rarely I do enjoy the perks in being in front of the lens, but it's worthwhile and hopefully these will last forever.

Resolutions

The New Year is here, believe or not ... two-thousand and nine. Yikes. It almost seems daunting to put it all into words.

As for my New Year's plans for the season, it was relatively low-key. Mike and Lacey got a hold of me on the 30th of December and talked about heading over to some friends' place. We made the jaunt, and after some socialization and catch-up, it was time to break out the beer.

I had also bought a bottle for that night, just in case if things got a little crazy. A liter of 100-Proof Captain Morgan ... but I never got that far. Maybe I'm just getting a little too old ... instead, a pounded down a 9-pack of the new Miller Lite 16-oz. bottles. I had first saw these when I was in the Twin Cities for a Minnesota Vikings game in October, and I just thought these were the coolest things ever. Mind you, my tolerance has slowed in recent years, but it was just plain fun to get loaded with the old friends, just like the old days.

One of the highlights was watching Lacey progress through the night. Now, a quick update there -- she gave birth to identical twins earlier last year. She's been awfully busy with that (I can't imagine) and she rarely gets out to let off a little steam. But wow ... a couple of those new Smirnoff Green Tea's (whatever they're called), but she was a riot that night. It was good to see her and Mike have a little fun since they've just been so busy with Alex and Issac.

And you know you're drunk when there's constant denial. Lacey: "I'm not drunk!"

But of course, people have these so-called "resolutions" for the New Year. Maybe people will cut back on spending, people will exercise more, people will give up bad habits ... whatever. Well, I don't believe in them. I'm 30 years old, a single male, and I just feel that a person just gets to a certain point their life in which they cannot change. Why the 1st of the year? Why not ... i don't know ... April 3rd -- to decide to make some changes?! I won't get it.

I can rightfully say that I'm kind of in the middle of the road with my current situation. My personal life is suffering, but my new career is booming. I wish I could have it all, like I had during one point in my life, but that's just what it is, life.
